BCCI to launch protest on India being denied Asia Cup trophy; confirms Saikia

Speaking on the incident, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia said that the board will launch a protest against the ACC and also called it a "childish" act. Along with ACC, Naqvi is also the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Interior Minister of his country

In the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan, Team India came victorious by five wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.
Later, the "Men in Blue" refused to accept the trophy from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Mohsin Naqvi, who walked away with the trophy.
