Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan announced its squad for the continental event. The tournament is scheduled to start on September 9.

So far in 128 T20I matches, Babar has scored 4223 runs, with three centuries and 36 half-centuries. On the other hand, Rizwan has played 106 shortest format matches and has garnered 3414 runs. He also has a century and 30 half-centuries in the format. In their absence, the management will expect Saim Ayub to rise to the occasion. So far, having played 36 T20Is for Pakistan, the left-hander has scored 705 runs, with a top score of an unbeaten 98 runs. With three half-centuries to his name, the 23-year-old is yet to score a ton in the format.
