Somdev Devvarman and Harsh Mankad reached the doubles semi-finals of the $50,000 ATP Challenger event in the United States after registering contrasting victories.

Somdev and Phillipines' partner Treat Conard Huey, who entered the fray as qualifiers, stunned American third seeds Todd Widom and Michael Yani 6-3, 6-4 in their quarter-final encounter.

Mankad teamed up with American Scott Oudsema to overcome first set lapse and beat Lestor Cook and Shane La Porte of the US 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 in their last-eight clash.

Somdev and Huey will now fight it out against top seeded American pair of Bobby Reynolds and Rajeev Ram in the semi-finals while Mankad and Oudsema will face Benedikt Dorsch of Germany and Marinko Matosevic of Australia.

Somdev's singles campaign had ended after a second-round defeat to Lester Cook.
