A Half century by opener Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped Uttar Pradesh reach 166 for two in reply to Mumbai's first innings total of 414 on Day Three of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match played here yesterday.

Kumar scored an unbeaten 61 off 145 balls, giving him company was Parvinder Singh (39 off 53 balls) at stumps. For Mumbai, Ramesh Powar and Iqbal Abdulla took one wicket each.
