Just the second time, Sachin's hundred against Australia goes in vain

Munaf Patel joked to Sachin Tendulkar during nets on match eve in relation to the batting maestro needing seven more to reach 17,000 runs in ODIs. "Saat kyon, aap toh kal sau run banaoge (why seven, you will score 100 tomorrow)," Munaf is believed to have said.

Tendulkar seemed to have taken him a bit too seriously and scored 175 off 141 balls that included 19 boundaries and four sixes against Australia in the fifth ODI at the Rajiv Gandhi International. But fate had other ideas, as India chasing 351, lostu00a0 by three runs.
