Fast bowler Mitchell Johnson was a surprise omission yesterday from Australia's Twenty20 squad for their tour of South Africa, while batsman David Hussey was dropped from the one-day lineup.

Australia play two T20s against South Africa on October 13 and 16, with the three-match one-day series kicking off on October 19 ahead of Tests in Cape Town and Johannesburg in November.

Young fast bowlers Patrick Cummins and James Pattinson were selected for both squads, while rising all-rounder Mitchell Marsh claimed a berth in the T20 lineup.
