Gautam Gambhir hits form in county cricket

Discarded India opener Gautam Gambhir (106) slammed a splendid century for Essex against Gloucestershire in a Division II County Championship match here yesterday to revive hopes of an India recall.

Gambhir at last got into groove after four failures which included a duck in the first innings of the ongoing game. This was first-class century No 34 for Gambhir. His hundred was achieved in 141 balls.
