Swiss World No 1 Roger Federer said yesterday he became a proud father of twin girls after wife Mirka gave birth overnight to Charlene Riva and Myla Rose.

Swiss World No 1 Roger Federer said yesterday he became a proud father of twin girls after wife Mirka gave birth overnight to Charlene Riva and Myla Rose.

"This is the greatest day of our lives. Mirka, Myla and Charlene are all healthy and doing very well," Federer, said on his website. British bookies are already laying odds on the chances of one or both of the girls becoming tennis stars with Ladbrokes offering 100 to one for either girl winning Wimbledon one day.
