England buried their 43-year jinx against Sweden here Tuesday, with an own goal from defender Daniel Majstorovic handing manager Fabio Capello's side a 1-0 friendly victory at Wembley.

Majstorovic diverted Gareth Barry's glancing header into his own net on 22 minutes to hand England their first victory over their fellow Euro 2012 qualifiers since 1968.

A match played in front of a 48,876 crowdu00a0-- the lowest attendance ever recorded since the rebuilt Wembley opened in 2007u00a0-- fell flat as Capello made eight changes from the side which defeated world champions Spain on Saturday.

Other results:
* Costa Rica 2-2 Spain
* France 0-0 Belgium
* Germany 3-0 Netherlands
* Italy 0-1 Uruguay
