Fifteen years ago, Cambodia deported 20 Uyghur asylum seekers to China, where they were imprisoned, tortured, and subjected to severe human rights abuses, according to sources cited by Radio Free Asia (RFA).
One woman, who was later released, shared that she suffered a miscarriage due to the torture, which included electric shocks and being left almost naked in a freezing prison cell. Additionally, a severely ill man serving a 20-year sentence was forced to perform labour in prison, reported news agency ANI.
