<p>During a public gathering Chief Minister Rekha Gupta adderssing the crowd she shared that she was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s gesture of planting a `sindoor` sapling and felt a strong desire to do the same. Coincidentally, during a public hearing in the morning, she was gifted a `sindoor` sapling by a few individuals. She took this as a sign and planted the sapling to mark the beginning of the `Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign 2.0`</p>

<p>Rekha Gupta along with Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood during a public meeting organised to mark the state BJP government`s 100 days in office, stated that the previous AAP government had not implemented the `Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam` campaign in Delhi. Emphasising the importance of environmental protection, she said the current government is now launching the initiative to encourage tree plantation and raise awareness about ecological conservation</p>
