<p>IMD scientist Akhil Srivastava explained that most plains in Northwest India were expected to face heatwave conditions for the next four days. He added that Delhi-NCR, particularly, will see temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday</p>

<p>According to the IMD`s digital portal, Delhi was under an orange alert for June 10 and 11, indicating a need to "be prepared" for severe weather. This was followed by a yellow alert for June 12 and 13, advising residents to "be aware" of potentially adverse conditions. The Met Department also forecast that Delhi might experience some rain by the middle of the week</p>
