Veteran nuclear scientist MR Srinivasan passes away at 95

Veteran scientist and former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, MR Srinivasan, who played a key role in the country's indigenous nuclear energy programme, died in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his outstanding contribution to India's nuclear energy programme

Veteran scientist and former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, MR Srinivasan, who played a key role in the country's indigenous nuclear energy programme, died in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, his family said.

He was 95 and is survived by wife and daughter.
