Many people are still motivated by his unwavering attitude and determination to set India free.

A warrior and a nationalist, Bose rebelled against the British and urged the people to engage in violent protest.

Every year on January 23, the nation commemorates the day in hour of Subhas Chandra Bose's commitment to the fight against colonial powers in India.

The formal National Day is also known as Parakram Day or Bravery Day. On January 23, this year, we will commemorate Netaji's 127th birthday.

On January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, Orissa, Prabhavati and Janakinath Bose gave birth to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

In 1913, Subhas Bose went to Presidency College, Calcutta, the historic and traditional college for Bengal’s upper-caste Hindu men, along with his five brothers.

Later, he went to England to prepare for the Civil Services exams. When he returned to India in 1921, he was declared a rebel by the British government.
