Stating that there was nothing wrong in talking to representatives of the state government over issues concerning common citizens, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) President Sharad Pawar on Tuesday downplayed speculations about a political reunion with his estranged nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Ajit Pawar. The speculations of a possible reunion between the two leaders had erupted following recent meetings between the duo — they have met thrice in a fortnight.
"We have been working to increase sugarcane production for several years. Working in silos is not possible, as the government's role is equally important. There is nothing wrong in talking to representatives of the state government on issues concerning the common people," he said while speaking to reporters in Baramati.
