Nikhil Sosale, the Head of Marketing and Revenue for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Diageo India, has been arrested in connection with the stampede that took place outside Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday evening, reported the PTI.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of 11 people and injured over 50 others.
According to the PTI, the Bengaluru Police, along with the Crime Branch, carried out a joint operation to arrest Sosale. He was taken into custody at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru while reportedly trying to fly to Mumbai.
