Rajasthan floods: Jaisalmer closes schools as IMD predicts heavy rains

Amid the ongoing flood-like situation in Rajasthan, the Jaisalmer District Collector, Pratap Singh, has issued an order declaring a holiday in all government and non-government schools and anganwadi centres. 

On Monday, the Indian Meteorological Department issued a heavy rainfall alert for the next 24 hours in the district, prompting the district authorities to order the school closure, reported ANI.
