Prime Minister Modi, during his visit to Ghana, invited Ghanaian lawmakers to visit India's new Parliament building during his speech in the country's parliament.
As reported by ANI, India’s Prime Minister also highlighted the Women's Reservation Act, 2023, the Constitution (106th Amendment) Act, 2023, which reserves one-third of all seats for women in Lok Sabha, State legislative assemblies, and the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, including those reserved for SCs and STs.
While addressing the Parliament of Ghana on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi asserted, "I invite you to visit the new Parliament of India. You will be able to see the bold step that we have taken to reserve one-third of the seats in the Indian Parliament and the state assemblies for women," as per ANI.
