Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established 'Politics of Performance' and has freed the country from corruption, appeasement, casteism and dynasticism. He was speaking during the Bhartiya Janata Party's (BJP) national convention.

Hailing the Modi government, Shah said that "Modi is slowly freeing the country from the colonial mindset by removing the national symbols affiliated with the British rule. This should have been done immediately after independence, yet the Congress never bothered to do it." BJP National's X handle posted series of Amit Shah's speech during the on-going national convention.



Slamming the Congress and its allies, Shah said, "In 10 years, there has been a paradigm shift in the landscape of India. Congress and the I.N.D.I. Alliance tried to use Dalits, Adivasis and the backward classes as their vote bank. But for the first time, these communities were given their due by the BJP government."


The home minister asserted that PM Modi has kept national security above all, saying, "In the realm of foreign policies, there was a misconception that if you want to make friends with the world, then you must compromise national security. Many leaders struggled with deciding which priority to uphold. However, with out any hesitation, PM Modi decided that nothing is above the security of India."

Speaking on the newly inaugurated Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Amit Shah said by rejecting the invitation of for the consecration of Ram Lalla, the Congress has not only missed the opportunity of being part of the historic moment, but have distanced themselves from the process of making the country great.

Meanwhile, the BJP's national convention on Sunday passed a resolution on the Ram temple in Ayodhya, asserting that this heralds the establishment of "Ram Rajya" in India for the next 1,000 years, reported news wire PTI. Our Constitution, dedicated to our democratic values and justice for all, has been inspired by the ideals of Ram Rajya, it said.

On the inaugural day of the national convention on Saturday, the BJP passed a political resolution titled 'Viksit Bharat', highlighting the achievements of the Centre under Prime Minister Modi. It added that the BJP would return for a third term at the Centre and carry forward its roadmap for holistic development and welfare, reported ANI.
