Northeast floods: Toll rises to 36, nearly 6 lakh affected

The toll in floods and landslides triggered by relentless rain in the state has increased to 11 after a labourer died in a wall collapse incident in Anjaw district on Tuesday

The flood situation in the northeast remained critical with the toll due to floods and landslides triggered by heavy rain over the past few days rose to 36 on Tuesday, while nearly six lakh remained affected across several states in the region.

Arunachal Pradesh

The toll in floods and landslides triggered by relentless rain in the state has increased to 11 after a labourer died in a wall collapse incident in Anjaw district on Tuesday. A total of 938 people have been affected by floods in 156 villages in 23 districts, officials said.
