The Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) has cleared three long-pending and critical projects: the Modi Mill Flyover, Savitri Cinema Flyover, and the MB Road Storm Water Drain project. Together, these projects are designed to ensure signal-free traffic flow and enhanced road capacity, benefiting thousands of daily commuters, according to an official statement.
The projects will be executed by the Public Works Department (PWD) with a combined investment of over Rs. 759 crore, underscoring the government's focus on integrated and future-ready urban development. According to the release, the corridor from Modi Mill Flyover to the IIT Gate intersection would have three lanes in each direction, enabling smoother, uninterrupted traffic flow.
