The Maharashtra government informed the Supreme Court on Monday that the remaining land for the construction of the new Bombay High Court complex in Bandra will be handed over by March 2026.
According to the news agency PTI, a bench comprising Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and Justice K Vinod Chandran took note of the submission during the hearing of a suo motu case titled “Heritage Building of the Bombay High Court and allotment of additional lands for the High Court”. While the bench initially considered closing the matter, it decided to keep it pending for further review in April 2026, following submissions from lawyers.
