After heavy rains lashed parts of Jammu and Kashmir, the weather situation has now turned to a different scenario altogether. As reported by news agency PTI, fresh snowfall blanketed several famous tourist resorts and higher reaches in Kashmir. Officials, while addressing the beautiful weather in Kashmir, said that the plains were lashed with rains followed by snowfall.

The wet weather has led to a sharp drop in day temperatures across the valley. Regions across Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Aru Valley, Chandanwari and Kokernag were among the places that received snowfall, reported PTI.
