Bhupen Borah meets Assam CM after Congress exit, likely to join BJP

Former Assam Congress president Bhupen Borah met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday, a day after resigning from the Congress party. Sarma indicated that Borah is expected to soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), fueling political speculation ahead of the upcoming polls

Ex-Assam Congress president Bhupen Borah will soon join the BJP, said Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarm on Tuesday as he met eith the for state Congress chief at his residence.
The meeting comes a day after Borah submitted his resignation from Congress, raising concerns within the party just weeks before the polls.
