Crow deaths in Dindigul spark concern; officials rule out health risk

A handful of crow deaths in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district triggered public concern, but health officials clarified that the numbers are low and there is no evidence of bird flu. Samples have been collected for testing, and authorities say there is no health risk to residents

Residents of Vedasandur in the district raised apprehensions over the crow deaths that have been reported over the last few days, sources said.

However, a health official on Tuesday said that there were not so many deaths as reported in the media and allayed concerns of bird flu.
