A senior civic official from Maharashtra's Beed district was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 6 lakh to clear a bill related to road construction work, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said on Friday.
Acting on a complaint, the ACB laid a trap and arrested a 35-year-old chief officer of the Majalgaon Municipal Council at his residence in Pitaji Nagari on Thursday, according to news agency PTI.
