The Congress on Thursday attacked the Centre after its announcement of the decision to include caste enumeration in the forthcoming census, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the “master of giving a headline without a deadline”.

Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh demanded that the census should be done as soon as possible and that there should be a Constitutional Amendment and the 50 per cent cap on reservations be removed.
