Karnataka to hold Bangalore civic polls with ballot papers instead of EVMs

Elections in Greater Bengaluru Authority will be held after May 25 using ballot papers, Karnataka State Election Commissioner G S Sangreshi said. Zilla and Taluk Panchayat polls later this year will also follow the ballot paper system in Karnataka

Elections to the five city corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) will be held after May 25 with ballot papers instead of EVMs, Karnataka State Election Commissioner G S Sangreshi said on Monday.

The State Election Commissioner on Monday also said that Zilla and Taluk Panchayat polls, which are expected later this year, will also be held using ballot papers.
