The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has said it is too early to reach any firm conclusions about the recent Air India plane crash and has asked the public and media not to spread rumours or unverified information, reported the PTI.

In a statement released on Thursday, AAIB Director General G. V. G. Yugandhar said, “We are aware that some parts of the international media are trying to make claims based on selective and unchecked information. This is not responsible, especially while the investigation is still going on,” according to the PTI.

The statement comes against the backdrop of reports suggesting that pilot error led to the crash of the Air India plane that killed 260 people on June 12.
