Maratha organisations have indulged in stone pelting demanding reservations on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti. The police had to resort tou00a0lathi charge.


Chavan and several state ministers are expected to attend the function organised at Shivneri, the birthplace of Shivaji Maharaj in Junnar today.



The district administration has beefed up security at the Shivneri fort and will allow entry only to invitees and pass holders for the birth anniversary celebrations of Shivaji Maharaj. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan will be the chief guest.
