Though the police are far from cracking the Jama Masjid attack case even four months after the incident, yet another arrest has been made in the case. 
On Sunday, a team from the Special Cell arrested Istekar, alias Iste, 33, from Mahipalpur area in Delhi. Istekar is a notorious gangster of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
"Istekar has been involved in several cases in UP. In 2007 he was convicted for raping a woman and was jailed for seven years. When he was released, he killed the eyewitness of the case . Thereafter he snatched rifles from two cops in Dhaula Kuan area in Delhi. In 2007 he was involved in four different cases of murder and rape. ," said Arun Kampani, DCP Special Cell.
