If shopping for a nightout is as much an event as the actual do, Bandra's very own Ibizza can be your latest pit-stop, WHAT's ON foundFrom trendy chequered-print pleated mini skirts and hot shorts, to comfy three-quarters and a run-of-the-mill variety of casual tops, we are sure the collection at Bandra's Ibizza has little to do with the world's top party destination, Ibiza. But, we did find one facet of the store that took inspiration from the Spanish party capital in its choice of house music.
While we find an unnecessary amount of staff manning each of the women's and menswear counters, looking at the display, we realised that help was much needed. A vast amount of tops lay stocked (and folded) on shelves, while only a few samples clad mannequins. Bottoms and dresses were neatly arranged on hangers, thankfully, making it easy to browse.
This may be a funny statement, but it's imperative to mention that Ibizza imports most of its offerings from Hong Kong, Bangkok and China. It may not have a distinguished USP as compared to other suburban stores, but the range of shorts, skirts and dresses for women, and trousers and shirts (like Paul Smith first copies) for men were good buys and were priced well, sans the snooty boutique owners. The store also stocks jackets, blazers, T-shirts, shoes and belts for men, dresses and bags for women, and denim varieties for both.
What's On's tip: Make sure you step in when you can sift in peace; you are bound to dig out a few good buys.u00a0
