Here's a new-age toilet that will open up as you approach, give you a warm water massage and even tell you the glucose content in your body when you urinate. The cost of these intelligent toilets ranges from Rs 90,000 to Rs 4 lakh and they will be on display at the Bangalore Bath Show at Kanteerva Indoor Stadium till Monday.AquaSpa, the company behind the intelligent toilet, describes them as "an experience beyond words".
"The lid automatically opens as you walk up to the throne. The seat's heated, of course, and as you get down to business, a catalytic air purifier kicks in to remove any "unwanted odours", with a manual power override for those particularly unpleasant visits," said Puttu R Swamy, CEO of AquaSpa.
There's a warm-water massage spray, and a hot air dryer, and you can control the temperature and intensity of both using the LCD panel.
Once you've finished and left the "sensor zone", the toilet automatically closes the lid and starts a three stage "Cyclone" flush. "The only thing missing from the toilet are speakers. You could install audio sensors and program the toilet to play a light Vivaldi number to help you wind down," he said.
The company has bought these toilets for the first time this year and has already sold some of them. "Last month, we sold 10 pieces," The cost ranges from Rs 90,000 to Rs 4 lakh. "The highest model also tells glucose content when you urinate," he said.
