A variety of items belonging to Tipu Sultan will be displayed at Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace in Chamrajpet. Some of these items were mentioned when MiD DAY broke the news on May 4, 2009.

The precious items on display include nine daggers that belonged to Tipu, the last dress that he wore while fighting the British and several coins minted by Tipu.

The collection, which also includes one pistol and prayer beads that Tipu used, were inaugurated by CM BS Yeddyurappa.
