Two youths were arrested and a minor boy were detained on Friday for luring an eight-year-old boy with eatables and allegedly murdering him after sodomising him. The accused have been identified as Atul Garg (21) and Chhotu (18). They were nabbed following investigations into the murder of the boy who was sodomised in Jaitpur area, said Ajay Chaudhry, Additional Commissioner of Police (South East). The boy's father had approached the police on Wednesday claiming that his son was missing and he suspected that he has been kidnapped.

Later in the evening, the boy's body was discovered from Lakhpat Colony in Jaitpur area. "There were no injury marks on his body. The dead body was sent for post-mortem and the doctor has identified smothering as the cause of death. He has also confirmed sodomy," Chaudhry said. During investigations a witness, Deepak, told the police that the deceased was last seen with three boys of the locality Atul, Chhotu and another minor boy.
Atul and Chhotu were traced and during questioning they confessed to the crime. "They had lured the boy with a packet of eatables. Then they took the boy to the first floor of a house that was under construction in the
neighbourhood where they sodomised the eight-year-old kid," said Chaudhry. "It was when the boy threatened that he will complain to his father that the accused decided to kill the boy for fear of getting caught by the police," Chaudhry added.
