Riddhi and Mita Doshi have a plan that lets you carry a new bag every day without the bother of emptying its contentsLike most other women, 26 year-old, Mumbai-based Riddhi Doshi owns a collection of bags and loves to switch between them for work, party or coffee with friends. But what is necessary evil for most of us, the business of switching contents every time we change our bags, became the mother of Doshi's invention. Bag Switcher, Violet with contentShe created a Bag Switcher, a pouch that comes with several compartments meant for everything you could possibly stuff in your bag, right from make-up to a cellphone, to keys and your pocket diary. All you need to do is organise it once and then transfer the pouch into any bag you want to head out with.On a hectic day sitting in the car, I was cribbing about leaving an important prescription in another bag, and how another bag had cost me a fortune but had no pockets or zips so that I could use it. My mother in- law, Mita Doshi, who was with me at the time came up with the idea of creating a pouch with compartments that I could transfer from one bag to another,she says. The idea took business shape in July 2010, when the two women made a few pieces and sold them at an exhibition.The Bag Switcher with its six compartments promises to put method into your madness. The switcher comes with segregated pockets for cellphones, pens, makeup kit, keys, a purse, sunglasses, a perfume bottle, USB pods, business cards, an iPod, a pocket book and even cables for your laptop. The Bag Switcher ensures that you don't waste time managing your handbag,says Doshi.Created for women on-the-go, the switchers are made of light-weight polyester and nylon, and come with a lining. The size and make is flexible enough for you to fit it into regular handbags and laptop bags. You can do a spot of cleaning with a wet cloth too if the pouch gets soiled.
