Despite repetitive assurances from varsity administration that the results would be declared ‘soon’, the students have reached a conclusion that it is better to change the university rather than go through the same frustrating experience the next year. The results were supposed to be out in June.
Frustrated: Some of the students who turned up at the UoP to find out a date for declaration of resultsu00a0
Vishal Mundada, an SYBCom student who visited the UoP yesterday with a hope that the varsity would at least declare the result date, said, “I’ve been coming here for the last one month and each time I visited, exam department authorities said the results would be declared soon. But the wait is still not over. They should at least declare the exact date for the result.”
Another student said if possible she would like to change the university itself. “The worst thing is that no one entertains us.” u00a0When contacted, UoP’s Commerce faculty dean Dr Sudhakar Jadhavar said, “Though the written exam of SY and TY concluded by April-end, the assessment procedure was affected due to strike called by teachers. Despite that, we are just 15 days late. The result will be declared by Saturday.u00a0
We have decided to slap show cause notices to all those teachers who didn’t turn up for assessment work. Varsity’s law officer has already drafted the notices.” u00a0Controller of Examination (CoE) Dr V B Gaikwad said, “We are taking all efforts to declare results as soon as possible.
Unlike every year, this year the practical exam was held after the written exam and that’s why even though the written exam was over by April-end, practicals continued till May-end.”u00a0He too said that the result would be declared by Saturday.u00a0
