Withu00a0the racing season beginning tomorrow, the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) has launched a portal to make things easy for those involved with the sport, especially owners and trainers.
The portal, www.horsein.com, has been designed to keep trainers and owners updated on account transactions besides details on horses, including their veterinary check-ups.
The turf club in the city is the first in the country to get a portal, said Vivek Jain, chairman, RWITC. "The portal is user-friendly," said Jain. "Trainers or owners no longer have to fill forms, send it to the club and wait for things to happen."
Ajit Gulanikar, the consultant who worked on the project, said the site will make communication between owners and trainers more interactive. He said the idea for the portal came up last year when outstation trainers said they wanted to maintain their accounts online. Horse owner Khushroo Dhunjibhoy said the portal would make things easy for him with information available at a glance.
