Prison officials to monitor Raju's interrogation

Market regulator SEBI will tomorrow start interrogation of Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju in the presence of a prison official.

According to sources, jail officials, be it Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent or Jailer, would remain along with the SEBI investigation team during the duration of questioning.

A senior prisons official said a decision on providing a separate place for the interrogation or allow it to take place in the cell would be taken after reading the court order.

The Supreme Court today allowed SEBI to quiz the Raju brothers for three days from tomorrow in connection with the Rs 7,800 crore accounting fraud in Satyam Computer.

The Rajus have been remanded to judicial custody till February 7 by a local court, which had earlier rejected SEBI's plea for questioning the duo.
