Pookutty to design swanky homes that will be auctioned; proceeds generated to be used to fund a free housing project for the poor on B'lore outskirts
Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty is all set to take up interior designing for a noble cause.
The artist, who is known for crafting awe-inspiring sound, will design interiors of plush houses that will be put on auction.

The money generated from the same will then be used to develop a free housing project for the poor.
The luxurious houses will come up on the outskirts of the city and will pave way for Resul's dream project, which is a part of the Resul Pookutty Foundation.
Confirming the report, Resul said, "I'll start working on the housing project soon. As I'm also good interior designer, I will do the interior of the apartments myself."
Helping hand
The foundation is in talks with some reality developers and IT companies that will join the initiative.
Interestingly, those who'll make plush residences will also develop the houses meant for the
underprivileged.
"I'll be working on some ingenious interior designs, which will be put on auction.
The money generated by the sale of those designs will be used for a housing project meant for the poor," said the sound engineer who was recently awarded the Padma Shri award.
He added that people collaborating with the project have been finalised and their names would be announced soon.
