Nashik police arrest seven persons in jewellery theft case

Police today arrested seven persons including a girl within twenty-four hours of a theft at a Tanishq shop in Mahatma Nagar area here.

Stolen ornaments worth Rs 1,79,18,384 were recovered from them, said acting Commissioner of Police, Raosaheb Patil.u00a0

The examination of CCTV footage led first to the arrest of Rajani Jagdish Jaiswal alias Rajani Shiva Bagul and she revealed the names of others, the Commissioner said.

Other arrested accused are: Navdeepsingh Mahindrasingh Marva (43), Daljitsingh Gurudevsingh Bagda (19), Ashok Trimbak Avhade (21), two goldsmiths -- Praveen S Dusane (40) and Prashant S Kharote -- and Kisan Savlaram Naste (50).
