He was speaking on how the country has transformed from a developing third world economy to one of the fastest-growing economies, and the contribution of the IT industry in bringing about this change.
Murthy stressed on the importance of CISF's role in providing a safe and secure environment for further growth of the economy, so that more jobs are created for the youth, with a higher disposable income.

"The CISF providing security cover for private sectors especially at the Infosys campus has increased the confidence and sense of security among the staff," said Murthy.
During the conference, various operational issues from security during the CWG-2010 to the operational preparedness of Naxal affected units of CISF were discussed.
Nandan Nilekani, Chairman UIDAI also had an interactive session with CISF Officers and stressed on the need and importance of a unique identification and gave an overview of the technologies used for this project.
