Speaking to reporters after voting at the Navjivan School in suburban Bandra, Uddhav who was accompanied by wife Rashmi and son Aditya said, "I am voting for the first time without Balasaheb and am feeling his absence. However, the party is following the path laid down by him. His absence will always be felt."

Uddhav's residence "Matoshree" falls in Bandra East assembly segment which is part of Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha seat where BJP nominee Poonam Mahajan is giving a tough fight to incumbent MP Priya Dutt of the Congress.

The Sena head was accompanied by RPI leader Ramdas Athavale and BJP Mumbai chief Ashish Shelar.
