Koregaon Park is one of the most popular places in the east side of the city. This road has Osho Commune, German Bakery and it extends till ABC Farm and many other business establishments. The area has many garment shops and hotels. PMC recently widened the road as the volume of traffic has increased over the years.u00a0
Koyala Hotel Corner is the busiest area on the North Main Road. It's a hot-spot for shopping and eating out. The autorickshaw stand occupies a portion of the area at the same square.
PMC corporator Rajendra Vagaskar of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena joined the MiD DAY campaign to identify water-logged neighbourhoods. Two areas were surveyed in the campaign. After assessing the situation, PMC road engineers have assured MiD Day that repair work would be carried out within 72 hours.

Koyla Hotel square
Problem: The Koyla Hotel corner is submerged in knee-deep water each time it rains heavily. This place is a low-lying area. Four-wheelers speeding past this area invariably squirt water on the hapless pedestrians. It is difficult to enter and exit the hotel because of puddles of water that collects here.
PMC's promise: PMC Assistant Engineer Ravindra Kamble said that a three-foot long channel joining the nearest storm water drain would be constructed. His assistant Junior Engineer Sunil Patil said that this particular stretch would be raised with cement so that water would flow into the drain. The work would be started soon and completed within the stipulated time.
Sanas Corner
Problem: The Hotel Cozy Inn is located at a corner of this area, known as Sanas Nagar. Water-logging is a major issue here. A part of the corner does not have any storm water drain because of which the accumulated water spreads in the entire chowk. PMC's promise: The Hotel Cozy Inn is situated in a low-lying area. The 30m-long corner needs to be filled up with cement and tar. A temporary channel would be constructed to connect to the storm water drain located at the other extreme corner. Kamble said for a permanent solution a cross channel cutting across to reach the storm water drain on the opposite side of the road would have to be constructedu00a0 However, he said the work could be taken up only after the rainy season.
