Outraged by verbal abuse meted out to him and for being reported to cops for earlier indecent overtures, accused barges into home of woman, assaults her as well as her brother and mother
Paapa tried to kiss the woman, who pushed him away and verbally abused him for his indecent overture.
“Paapa has tried to misbehave similarly with the victim in the past, and she had even complained to police constables patrolling the area at night. Paapa was angry that she had involved the police and decided to teach her a lesson,” said an officer with the Shivaji Nagar police.
Around an hour later, Paapa and his two friends kicked in the door to the victim’s home and barged in. They assaulted her mother and brother when they tried to fight back. The trio also tried to attack the victim, but she managed to slip out of the house during the scuffle and raised an alarm. Her shouts woke up neighbors who rushed to her aid. The trio managed to run away and the police was informed.
“By afternoon, we traced and arrested Paapa and his accomplice Shafiq Kaliya (28). The third accused, identified as Pervez, is absconding. The trio have been charged with molestation, assault and trespassing. While the victim’s brother has been admitted to Sion hospital, her mother has been complaining of chest pain,” the officer added.u00a0
