Members of Marne gang arrested

The Anti-Extortion Cell nabbed five gang men associated with notorious Ganesh Marne's gang for allegedly demanding Rs 50 lakh from city businessman Sushant Mohan Jadhav (32).

Inspector Kishor Jadav of the Anti-Extortion Cell, revealed that Jadhav had lodged a complaint with the Crime branch after an unidentified caller asked him to shell out Rs 50 lakh.

Trapped
"We laid a trap near the Axis Bank in Bundgarden on Wednesday afternoon and nabbed Mayur Ashok Sanas (20) of Kothrud who is one of the gang members," explained Jadav. Sanas led the police to Amol Dnanyeshar Shinde (24) of Rambaug Colony, Kothrud, Akshay Balasaheb Satpute (22) of Bhogao, Amar Bhegde of Bhegdewadi, Gotawade, and Harshal Balasaheb Ingalwale (18).
