Man shot dead by neighbour

A minor argument turned ugly as a 30-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his neighbour in west Delhi on Tuesday. Police said that motive behind the incident is not clear.

"The accused who is on the run had threatened the deceased that he would kill him. The victim had dared him over the phone to do so. We are taking statements from both families to know what exactly happened," said a senior police officer wishing anonymity.

The deceased was identified as Pradeep. Police said that a person called Naveen was reportedly behind the incident.

"Naveen had allegedly threatened him. Though this was not a serious matter, Pradeep had asked him to do it for real, after which Naveen approached him at his home and shot him dead," said the officer.
A case of murder has been registered in this respect at Najafgarh police station.
