Man held for raping minor

A 31-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi police for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl from Mehrauli area of south Delhi on Saturday

A 31-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi police for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl from Mehrauli area of south Delhi on Saturday.

According to the police, the accused person has been identified as Vijay Kumar, a rickshaw puller. The accused was reportedly a family friend of the victim.

On Friday evening, at around 8.45 pm, the girl went out to the local market to get some food, where she met the accused. He took her to an isolated place and raped her.
