City cops arrested Abdul Hashim, a 28-year-old man from Tamil Nadu, on charges of circulating fake currency in Bangalore. Hashim came to the city five months ago and joined the Home Guard.

City cops arrested Abdul Hashim, a 28-year-old man from Tamil Nadu, on charges of circulating fake currency in Bangalore. Hashim came to the city five months ago and joined the Home Guard.

After the elections, he quit Home Guard and decided to work as a security guard. However, despite repeated attempts, he failed to land a job.






Hashim used to use fake Rs 100 notes to buy cigarettes or tea and keep. the change in his bag. Hashim would also dupe traffic offenders and extort money from them posing as a traffic cop.

He ran out of luck when he tried his trick with real traffic cops near Kadugodi. Cops recovered Rs 80,000 and a currency printer from him.
