The Tilt is the latest music festival on the block, bringing together several genres of music on one stage

Sandwiched between these two fests is The Tilt, a music festival for the 'inclined', taking place today and tomorrow at Blue Frog.

The Tilt is the brainchild of Stuart Dacosta, from the band Something Relevant, who has been planning a festival for music lovers for four years. "When people are musically inclined they like to listen to all kinds of music.

There was a time when people would say, "I only listen to Death Metal." But that's not the case anymore and the festival programming reflects the change," says Stuart. The festival includes two bands from the Red Bull Bedroom Jam -- Blakc and Bombay Basement, three international acts --Max Clouth Trio and Glitterbug+Ronni Shendar from Germany and Tribu Zulu from Italy -- as well as The Pulp Society, Something Relevant and Axtortion.

The bands cover various genres between each other, from Jazz to Post Grunge and Hip Hop. "It's great to have a band like Tribu Zulu play Ska/Reggae because so many people are not even aware of this genre of music. Ska is an upbeat, fast and fun genre and these guys are street musicians so they'll surely have a great vibe," says Stuart, who wants youngsters especially to experience the festival.
